I’m Caitlin van der Merwe
but people call me Cait

With over a decade of experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, and HR leadership, I am a passionate advocate for neurodiversity and inclusivity, striving to create work environments where everyone can thrive. My career has been driven by the personal philosophy that my place in this world is to help others find their place in the world. This mindset shapes my approach to talent acquisition, leadership, and the development of inclusive talent strategies.

I am proudly neurodiverse, being Autistic and ADHD (AuDHD), and consider it a unique strength that enhances my ability to connect with diverse candidates and build impactful, supportive work cultures. I am a strong proponent of neuro-inclusive practices and work actively to raise awareness and create spaces in corporate environments where neurodivergent individuals feel valued, supported and are enabled to thrive.

I serve as a Board Advisor for Invisible Diversity, where I provide strategic oversight and advocate for neuroinclusive practices within recruitment and talent management. I am also committed to mentoring youth, working with organizations such as WeThinkCode and Cipla, to help young people discover their potential through gainful employment opportunities.

Outside of work, I am deeply passionate about art, animals, literature and learning. My personal and professional pursuits are guided by a strong commitment to making a meaningful difference in the world.
